A Financial Advisor who has been awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, or CFP®, professional certification has demonstrated skill in analyzing and developing personal long-term financial strategies. He or she has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous financial planning courses and examinations offered by various colleges and universities across the country. The courses are then followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP(R),

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in

the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and

ongoing certification requirements.
